Located within the broader Altona North urban renewal precinct, the Kyle Road development will transform approximately 16 hectares of former industrial land into a new residential community comprising approximately 640 townhouses.

The site’s previous use as a quarry presents significant engineering and remediation challenges, with areas of uncontrolled fill extending more than 10 metres below the existing surface. Creo Civil has worked closely with the project team to develop an integrated civil engineering and earthworks strategy that responds to these complex ground conditions while supporting the proposed development outcome.

A key component of the project involves the assessment, treatment, and controlled reuse of approximately 100,000 cubic metres of site material beneath future roads, footpaths and building areas. The adopted approach reduces the volume of material requiring removal from the site while ensuring the land can be safely and efficiently developed.

Creo Civil is responsible for the civil engineering design and coordination of the development, including earthworks, roads, drainage, sewer, water, and associated infrastructure. Our team will continue to support the project through authority approvals, tendering, and construction delivery.

The development forms part of the wider 67-hectare Altona North Precinct, which is planned to transition from former industrial land into a connected mixed-use neighbourhood close to Melbourne.
