Creo Civil was engaged by BECA to undertake the accredited water authority design for a new potable water supply connection associated with Melbourne Airport’s Third Runway project.

The works involved the detailed design of a new DN225 potable water main connection to an existing DN1150 transfer main to provide water supply to the future runway operations.

Creo Civil managed the design and approval process with Greater Western Water and Melbourne Water, including extensive technical consultation associated with connecting to critical existing water infrastructure.

The project required careful consideration of the operational and construction risks associated with the major transfer main and demonstrates Creo Civil’s capability in the design and approval of complex water infrastructure.
